Jeanine C. Ronan, MD

Dr. Ronan is a dedicated medical educator, clinician, and mentor with a passion for teaching, innovation, and trainee well-being. She completed her undergraduate, graduate, and medical school education at the State University of New York at Buffalo before training in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she also served as chief resident. After several years in primary care, she returned to CHOP as a pediatric hospitalist, later earning a Master of Science in Education and taking on leadership roles in medical education and hospital operations. As Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program, she has led initiatives such as the X+Y block scheduling system, mentorship redesign, and simulation-based learning to enhance resident education and support.

Dr. Ronan is passionate about clinical reasoning and challenges trainees to think critically and approach complex cases with logic and autonomy. She fosters an engaging and supportive learning environment while mentoring residents through career decisions, challenges, and burnout mitigation. Through national collaborations and continuous innovation, she remains committed to shaping the next generation of pediatricians.
